Our History

The site on which Eden Rehabilitation Centre is located has provided healthcare services in many forms since 1919 when it operated as a 10-bed hospital named St Margaret’s.

In 1959, the hospital was renamed Noosa District Hospital – later becoming known as Cooroy Private Hospital before closing in 2001.

Later that year Eden Healthcare Centre was established, and in 2003 Eden set its course to specialise in rehabilitation – becoming Eden Rehabilitation Centre in February 2008.

Today, around 16% of all Queensland’s private inpatient rehabilitation takes place right here at Eden. Currently licensed to operate 36 inpatient beds, we are fast becoming recognised as a centre of excellence in rehabilitation.
