Eden Rehabilitation Centre Awarded Best Rural Enterprise.
Eden Rehabilitation Centre has been recognised for its contribution to the health and wellbeing of people across the Sunshine Coast and beyond at the 2008 Excellence in Business Awards finals held at Novotel Twin Waters Resort on Saturday 8th November.

Eden Rehabilitation Centre took out the Macro Award in the Rural Enterprise category.

“Eden Rehabilitation Centre has been a quiet achiever for a long time,” said Care Director Michael Murray.

“For the past three years in particular, we have worked hard to develop specialist expertise in the area of rehabilitation – making us the only private rehabilitation hospital between the northside of Brisbane and Cairns.

“We currently take patients from across the Sunshine Coast and as far afield as Hervey Bay, Toowoomba and Brisbane and have agreements with most private health funds and Tier One Provider Status with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.”

For Eden Rehabilitation Centre, the Award was fitting recognition for a year in which new services were initiated, bed capacity was expanded by 50 percent, staffing increased by 30 percent, and occupancy of 80% each month has been enjoyed since the expansion in June.

“This year has been one of enormous growth and excitement for Eden Rehabilitation Centre,” Michael went on to say.

“Our nomination for, and success in, these Awards is testament to the work of our talented and caring staff each and every day in helping patients achieve excellent clinical outcomes.”
